Trampolinspringer 3 | Installation

Auf der Projektionsleinwand ist der Ausschnitt eines Trampolins zu sehen. Unvermittelt
taucht aus der Decke des Bunkers eine Person auf, die tief in das Trampolinnetz eindringt
und im nächsten Moment durch die undurchdringbare Dicke der Bunkerdecke weit über
deren Begrenzung hinaus katapultiert wird. Es scheint, als ob sie, inspiriert durch die
Undurchlässigkeit des Raumes, ihre Figuren entwickelt. Die fast unerträgliche räumliche
Beklemmung, die die Idee des Bunkers als Schutzraum und Versteck erzeugt, wird durch
die Unabhängigkeit des Springers verstärkt. Jede Durchdringung der Betondecke scheint
als ein unmöglicher Akt der Überwindung jeglicher physikalischer Gesetzmäßigkeiten.
Zurück lässt er das Nachhallen des Trampolinnetzes, das im Bunker gefangen bleibt, bis
der nächste Sprung folgt.

Trampoline Jumper 3

A section of a trampoline is shown on the screen. Suddenly a person appears from the
bunker ceiling who penetrates deep into the trampoline’s net and is then catapulted
through the impenetrably thick ceiling and far beyond. It seems the figures she develops
are inspired by the impermeability of the space. The almost unbearably oppressive atmosphere inherent in the concept of the bunker as shelter and hiding place is emphasized by the independence of the jumper’s movements. Each time she penetrates the concrete ceiling, she appears to achieve the impossible feat of transcending the laws of physics. What remains behind are the reverberations of the trampoline net, trapped in the bunker, until the next jump follows.
