OASIS project | Performance

KIM Youn Hoan & KIM Kang sind die Koordinatoren des OASIS-Kunstprojekts, das sie 2004
in Seoul gründeten. OASIS ist ein Projekt zur Wiederbelebung des Raumes, das neues
Leben in tote oder verlassene städtische Räume bringt. Im Prozess des OASIS-Projekts
wirken – sowohl direkt als auch indirekt – Künstler, Kunstproduzenten, Kuratoren,
Kunsttheoretiker, Anwälte, Aktivisten, Journalisten und Gemeindemitglieder mit. Das
Projekt ist ein Zusammenspiel von sozialem Aktivismus und Kunst.

Oasis Project

KIM Youn Hoan & KIM Kang are co-directors of an art project - the OASIS Project - which
they initiated in Seoul in 2004.The OASIS Project is a space revival project which gives
new life to abandoned or dead urban spaces. The process of the OASIS project includes .
both directly and indirectly . artists, art producers, curators, art theorists, lawyers,
community activists, journalists and people from the community. Thus this project is
a combination of social activism and art.

KIM Youn Hoan wurde 1966 in Korea geboren. Er studierte Malerei und Kalligraphie
an der Hong Ik und der Joong Ang Universitat, Korea. 2001-2003 arbeitete und
lebte er in Frankreich. Seit 2004 ist er Kodirektor des OASIS-Projektes | KIM Youn
Hoan, born in Korea in 1966. Education: painting and calligraphy at Hong Ik &
Joong Ang universities. Korea 2001-2003: lived and worked in France . From 2004:

KIM Kang wurde 1970 in Seoul, Korea geboren, studierte Malerei an der Sung Shin
Universität, Seoul; wurde an der Ecole I CART, Paris, zum Kuratoren ausgebildet
und hat einen Master in Asthetik der Hong Ik Universitat. 2001-2004 lebte und
arbeitete sie in Frankreich. Seit 2004 ist sie Kodirektorin des OASIS-Projektes |
