Chamberscape kombiniert Sammlung, Anhaufung und Kompression miteinander. Durch die simultane Wahrnehmung von gemusterter Flache und modelliertem Raum wird der Betrachter verwirrt. Ich mochte gleichzeitig das Verlangen nach einer idyllischen Landschaft und nach der Gemutlichkeit eines luxuriosen Wohnraums erwecken. Die Idee fur Chamberspace ergab sich aus folgenden Zitaten:
1. "Bedeutung kann ohne Wiederholung nicht auftreten und Bedeutung zu stiften ist, was Menschen als semiotische Wesen tun."
2. "Die Wiederholung ist immer auch mit Differenz verknupft, wenn auch nur kraft der Zeit."

Chamberscape is the result of a process combining collection, accumulation and compression. The confusion for the viewer arises from the simultaneous perception of patterned surface and modelled space, and the juxtaposition of incongruous yet familiar materials and objects. Chamberscape is my attempt to evoke a longing for the idyllic landscape and the cosiness of a luxurious living space in one. The idea for 'Chamberscape' came from the following quotations:
1. 'Signification cannot occur without repetition, and signification is what humans, as semiotic animals, do.'
2. 'Repetition is always, also, bound up with difference, if only by virtue of time.'
