In der zweiten Halfte der 90er Jahre erwies sich Jan Kadlec nicht nur als ein sehr talentierter Kunstler, sondern auch als ein Organisationstalent. Daher ist es kein Wunder, dass er die Aufmerksamkeit des Kunstbetriebs sowohl als junger aber erfahrener und reifer Kunstler erlangte, wie auch als Kurator (Boystory, Sport-Gallery, Green und 99CZ). Kadlecs Projekt "Esplanade" (1998), das 2000 im Salon der jungen Kunstler in Zlin mit einem Preis geehrt wurde, zeigt genauso seine organisatorischen Talente. Der Konflikt zwischen der spezifisch stilisierten Welt der Kindheit und der oftmals absurden Welt des Erwachsenseins ist und wird sicherlich weiterhin eines der grundlegenden Themen bleiben, die junge Kunstler zu Beginn ihrer Karriere aufgreifen."Esplanade" wurde zu einem Schlusselwerk, nicht nur im Werk des Kunstlers, sondern fur seine ganze Generation.

In the second half of the 1990s, Jan Kadlec proved himself not only as a very talented artist, but also as a talented organizer. It is therefore no wonder that he presented himself as a young, but seasoned and adult artist as well as a curator during the projects that first caught the attention of the artistic community (Boystory, Sport-Gallery, Green, 99CZ). Kadlec's project "Esplanade" (1998), which was honored at the 2000 Zlin Salon of Young Artists with an award, also shows his organizational talents. Conflict between the specifically stylized world of childhood and the oftentimes absurd world of adult reality is and will certainly continue to be one of the basic themes taken up by young artists in the beginning of their careers. "Esplanade" became one of the watershed works not only in the artist's work, but in his entire generation's.
