Ajoy Misra, 1964 in Indien geboren und in Kalkutta aufgewachsen, siedelte 1978 nach Deutschland uber. Seit 1991 lebt und arbeitet er als Fotograf und Videokunstler in Berlin. Es entstanden Fotos, Videos und Werbefilme. Im Zentrum seines Schaffens steht heute die Arbeit an Diasequenzen. Dabei bewegen sich seine Arbeiten an der Schnittstelle zwischen Malerei, Film und Fotografie. Die halbstundige Diasequenz aus 50 uberblendeten Bildern zeigt abstrahierte Fotografien von nachtlichen Leuchtobjekten. Die visuell erzeugte poetisch-lyrische Atmosphare wurde untermalt von Stefan Krauss´ Dub-Groove-Mix.

Born 1964 in India, Ajoy Misra grew up in Calcutta and moved to Germany in 1979. Since 1991, he has been living and working in Berlin as a photographer and a video artist.
